As a business owner of 23 years, Dr. Cass is the managing partner of Global Genesis Preferred Solutions, Inc., headquartered in Arlington, Texas-a niche business consultancy firm which catapults small businesses into the arenas with some of the largest customers in the world, creating pathways of opportunities that can create, forge or leverage further growth potential like never before. It is through these opportunities that M/WBE’s can build capacity and generate attainable wealth which is what legacy brags about.

Founder/ Executive Producer/Author & Interior Design Extraordinaire

This BIG Business Builder has twenty five years of corporate management, sales, interior design and luxury real estate, she’s a best-selling author of a self-help book called, Fail Forward, Can’t Give Up now on Amazon, TV Host/Executive producer of The Rhythm of Design w Teresa Perkins.

She’s the visionary of her new “Home Sanctuary Collection” that exudes extraordinary décor and soy scented candles and oils with unforgettable scents of bourbon, peaches, and mangoes while using nontoxic fragrances to include being the Principal/Interior Design Extraordinaire of LaYerz Interiors.

Teresa has proven to be a woman with vision, talent, and uncontested tenacity.

She’s a Chicago native and her talent was so evident that her family and friends relied on her insight for their real estate and interior design needs. Once she realized her niche she enrolled in The American Business Institute of Illinois and she subsequently attended the Art Institute of Las Vegas.

While her husband served in the US Air Force, Teresa had the opportunity to travel throughout the country and she was able to learn different techniques from other cultures that gave her the opportunity to decorate homes in Japan. She received numerous sales accolades but the most memorable one was being nominated and won the “Best New Sales Agent “of the year award voted on by her peers and management at Prudential Real Estate Corporation. Teresa’s rare abilities characterize her as a sophisticated creator and a leader of good taste.

Her proudest moment was when she received the call to decorate the stage for the infamous poet & historian Dr. Maya Angelou lectures throughout the west coast from 2007 throughout 2010.

Most recently she was surprisingly offered to host her own streaming TV/Podcast show in Dallas , TX called “The Rhythm of Design w Teresa Perkins” on Power Play radio in 2021 and with that experience she expanded her reach to a YouTube channel where she travels across the country to interview industry professionals. Teresa has also appeared on several radio shows including the “Corner for Success”, Dream Chasers and YaYa Diamond just to name a few; she was also featured on the TV show "All In with Brian Weatherford” in Arlington, Texas. Teresa has been published in, Spotlight Sister, Voyage Dallas, Ment4You Magazine, Living Magazine, The Las Vegas Home & Garden Magazine, Las Vegas Style and The Las Vegas Business Press. Teresa says, she’s grateful to be able to live her dreams while enhancing the lives of her clients and community.

She's also passionate advocate for renewable energy, starting a new venture, AMPD EV Chargers. Teresa is a proud member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and an IIDA membership candidate, continuing to lead LaYerz Interiors into its next era of excellence, where creativity, community, and elevated living intersect.

Cecil W. Lofton, Jr., Mr. Lofton has been an accomplished entreprenuer and business owner for nearly twenty five years, in the state of Texas, and a strong advocate for small and emerging Minority/Women Business Enterprise firms in the state of Texas.

In addition to being an entrepreneur business owner, he has over twenty years of experience working in managerial roles in the Telecommunications, Construction, Information Security Technology and Audiovisual System Engineering industries of corporate America.

Mr. Lofton has served on numerous boards over the past two decades in Dallas, Texas. A few of these are the Dallas Independent School District, the Minority/Women Business Enterprise Advisory Committee; Chairman of the City of Dallas Youth Entrepreneur Program and currently he served as past chair of the Black Contractors Association of Dallas, Texas. He has been a member of the Black Contractors Association (BCA) since it was established in June 2002 as one of the original founders of the organization.

Mr. Lofton has many certifications in construction and engineering. He attended University of Texas at Arlington in 1987 for in Engineering.

Mr. Lofton has been long known for his effective leadership in the community and in his industry space; along with being an advocate to small and minority business throughout the state of Texas; helping ambitious business owners find ways to expand their businesses in their target market area 

Beatrice Dodd, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, now resides in the vibrant Dallas-Fort Worth area.

With an impressive 25-year career in the landscape industry, she is a second-generation business entrepreneur who has seamlessly blended tradition with innovation. Armed with a degree in Business Administration, Beatrice has the expertise and vision to excel in her field.

Operating across Texas, Missouri, Georgia, and Tennessee, Beatrice has built a reputation for excellence and reliability.

In her leisure time, she finds solace in water-related activities, enjoying the tranquility and rejuvenation they bring. Her passion for helping others drives her to make a positive impact wherever she goes.

Beatrice is also a proud mother of four successful business owners and has been a devoted wife for over 42 years.

She is currently a dedicated caregiver to her husband, Furman Dodd, who imparted invaluable knowledge about the landscape industry.
